Dr Felix SteffekDr Felix Steffek, Co-Director of the Centre for Corporate and Commercial Law (3CL), has been awarded a J M Keynes Fellowship in Financial Economics. This University Fellowship is funded by the J M Keynes Fellowship Fund and supports interdisciplinary research in the area of financial economics.

The Fellowship has been awarded for three years in the first instance and can be extended up to a maximum of five years.

Felix Steffek said: "I am honoured and grateful to the Fund Managers for supporting my research. I intend to focus on the law and economics of corporate debt finance. This includes corporate insolvency, as the cost of debt finance is significantly influenced by the expected recovery in the case of financial distress. I am looking forward to establishing and strengthening interdisciplinary collaboration within the University and beyond."
